MPCore.us– President Donald Trump said he was in no hurry to finalize agreements with North Korea and remove sanctions.
“I want to remove the sanctions, but they must be responsive. This is a two-party effort, “Trump said at a press conference at the White House on Wednesday (11/7).
He told reporters that he had made progress with North Korea over the previous administration, and he was still planning another summit with Kim Jong-un early next year.
Trump spoke just hours after Thursday’s meeting between US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Kim’s senior adviser, Kim Yong Chol, was canceled.
Each party does not give reasons why the cancellation was carried out. US State Department spokesman Robert Palladino said the cancellation was related to scheduling problems.
The meeting in New York was originally considered as the opening way for the second Trump and Kim summit.
